Go fast. Go clean. Go jumpers.

Hey guys!

My name is Sammie, and I own a horse named Westie. I got him on November 27, 2013. We will be competing in the 1.15-1.20 jumpers and the 3'6-3'9 equitation. Because of that, I reblog mostly eq or jumper pictures! And I always follow back. Thanks for coming here! (:

Summary of things I’ve learned from riding horses:

  1. Inside leg, outside rein
  2. Heels down
  3. Eyes up
  4. Don’t fall off

5. Stay alive

6. Always, always bring treats to the barn

7. Make sure not to give treats to all the horses in the barn

Here’s to the:

  • geometrically challenged dressage riders
  • timid eventers
  • fashion challenged hunters
  • reiners who don’t know counterclockwise from clockwise
  • and the barrel racers who don’t know left from right

May our riding ever be some sort of freaking miracle

I think the reason so many people say that riding isn’t a sport or that it’s easy is because they’re far too weak to deal with not only the horses but the entire craziness of the equestrian world and the people in it.
